Our DATA-5 Software (designed to be used with our bacterial detection system, eBDS™) collects information from the point of donor collection right through to final testing. It logs all the time critical steps and provides easy-to-use work lists for each step in the process including collection, platelet sampling, incubation time, and bacterial testing. In addition, other built-in features, such as operator timing prompts, alarms, password-protected security settings and levels, as well as an expanded query capability help blood centers adhere to cGMPs.
The DATA-5 software sets the standard for platelet quality control by allowing full lot traceability from individual platelet concentrate (PC) units to the pooled platelet product and the eBDS test results. It also records all system activities and results through real-time data capture which ensures adherence to cGMP compliance.
Our DATA-5 Software has also been designed to work with Acrodose Systems that incorporate the Haemonetics eBDS Sample Pouch. This allows for complete traceability between the whole blood derived platelet units going into the Acrodose System, the pool ID for the Acrodose Platelet, and the final Haemonetics eBDS test result.
